Talented Musician Played In Several Local Bands

Ezra Colin Robertson-Wiggins, 27, died on Monday, May 11, 2015.

Ezra was a talented musician who leaves behind a legacy of music. He played in numerous local bands. He touched the souls of everyone he encountered with words of encouragement for those who needed it the most. 

He was born on April, 4, 1988, in El Paso, Tx. He had lived in Chattanooga for 14 years and made a lasting impact on the Scenic City’s music and arts community. Prior to Chattanooga, he lived in Birmingham. Music allowed Ezra opportunities to travel that many people don’t have. Touring with various bands, he saw much of the United States.

He was preceded in death by Andra Wiggins, Jacob Wiggins, Bannie Robertson, and Oscar Delora.

Ezra is survived by his parents, Denise Robertson and David (Brenda Waynewright) Wiggins, maternal grandparents, Becky and Barry Robertson, paternal grandfather, Tom Wiggins, great-aunt, Sarah Sue Cochran, aunts, Monica Garcia and Amanda Wiggins, uncles, Mick Reavey, Chris Wiggins and Adrian Garcia, great-grandparents, Luis and Hortencia Curiel; cousins, Miles Reavey, Cyrus Garcia, Claire Wiggins, Samuel Wiggins, and Kason Morrow; and beloved girlfriend, Katherine Levan. In addition to his family, Ezra will be missed by his former bandmates and a multitude of friends.

Ezra was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and a parishioner at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

A funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 15, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at 214 E. 8th St. in Chattanooga, TN.

A memorial reception will follow at Sluggo’s North Vegetarian Café located at 501 Cherokee Blvd. in Chattanooga.
