World War II Veteran Retired From Dixie Sand And Gravel

Carl James, 90, died on Thursday, June 11 in a local hospital.

Carl was retired from Dixie Sand and Gravel and he served honorably during World War II in the U.S. Navy.

Carl was preceded in death by his son, Terry Alan James and his parents.

Survivors include his loving companion, Judy Deal; sons, Ronnie James of Rossville, Dennis (Nellie) James of Chattanooga and twins, Larry and Garry (Debra Ann) James of Chattanooga; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 15, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Bobby Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
