Chattanooga State Athletes Garner NJCAA Academic Attention

  • Thursday, June 25, 2015

Chattanooga State sophomores Brennan Swindoll, Ari Fabian and Fielder Dennis all garnered NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards for this year.  These are the equivalent to Academic All American and all of these young men did a super job in the classroom in order to merit this recognition.

Brennan Swindoll, a left-handed pitcher on the baseball team from Lebanon, Tn., received the Superior Academic Achievement Award ( 3.8-3.99 GPA ) while Ari Fabian, a first baseman from Atlanta, and Fielder Dennis, Men’s Basketball team, were recognized as Exemplary Academic Achievement Awards ( 3.60-3.79 GPA ).

“I can’t tell you how proud I am of all three of these young men,” said Head Baseball Coach Greg Dennis, “both Brennan and Ari were just joys to be around all year and we will miss both much this coming year.  Fielder is our middle son so, of course, my wife (Mary) and I are very proud of him and the work he has done throughout his time here at Chattanooga State. We have enjoyed watching him grow and mature while here and look forward to seeing him move on to ETSU and further his education.”
