James Hatfield
James Howard Hatfield, 75, of the Fairview Community of Rossville, died on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Mr. Hatfield was a lifelong resident of Rossville and he retired from ADM Milling in 2003 as a supervisor with over 40 years of service. Mr. Hatfield’s family were founding members of Fairview Baptist Church and he was a lifelong member of the church serving as Deacon and attending the Dependable Sunday School Class. His passions in life were God, family, working with the Rossville Food Ministries, fishing, and watching the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marguerite Hatfield; son, Chris Hatfield; parents, Henry and Ellen Hatfield; brothers, Bobby Hatfield and Henry Hatfield; and sisters, Louise Bilbrey, Peggy Nalley, Gladys Mangum, and Betty Hatfield.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Kincaid Hatfield; children, Angela (Ron) Berry of Rossville and James Hatfield of Rossville; step-children, Kim Crosslin of Rossville, Jill (Brian) Smith of Rossville, and Jennifer (Philip) Foster of Ringgold; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Scott, Allison, Tiffany, Daniel, Aiden, Ruby, Lila, and Cozy; one great-granddaughter, Maggie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens, South.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
