Marcella Howard Exhibit Slated In Gallery 5

Atlanta artist Marcella Howard’s paintings will be featured in Gallery 5 beginning Nov. 4 through mid-December at the Mountain Arts Community Center.  The show will feature a large sampling of her latest works, some painted while on location outside Paris.  Paintings will be available for purchase.

An opening reception will be held in Gallery 5 at the MACC on Friday, Nov. 4 from 5-7 p.m. and is open to the public.  

"Come by and meet the artist and enjoy refreshments and beautiful artworks," officials said.  

The exhibit is open to the public during regular MACC hours Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Bio on Marcella Howard

Based in the study of art and literature, Ms. Howard utilized visual art and music in a career that encompassed teaching for a time.  She later went into banking.  Her return to visual art represents her pursuit of her original passion and her homage to the great classical masters, as well as bringing her unique vision to scenes.  Her paintings evoke an emotional response and whisper of contemporary influences as well as the classical ones.

Ms. Howard currently resides in Atlanta with her husband, Jim, and has two married sons.  One of her hobbies is photographing her grandchildren.
