Lane, Mary Elizabeth (Cleveland)

Mary Elizabeth Lane, 80, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016.

She was born on June 4, 1935 to the late William Horace and Louise Elizabeth Coker. Mary was a lifelong resident of this area. She was an avid gardener and loved cooking, fishing, and all kinds of sports. Above all things, however, she loved her family and spending time with them. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Lane; daughter, Elizabeth Louise Eller; and brother, Charles Coker. 

She is survived by one son, David Greene (Kathy); three daughters, Gail King (G.L.), Jane McAmis (Keith) and Linda Humbard (Travis); brothers, Bill Coker and Tom Coker; sisters, Julia Tinsley, Catherine Rollins and Ann Groves; grandchildren, Kayla Matthews, Robin Thomas, Jennifer Aaron, April Humphrey, Tim Presley, Jason Odom, Sommer Maynor, Jaclyn Willis and Andrew Howard; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Morgan, Landon and Lexi Aaron, Rebekah Peek, Joshua Cofer, Olivia Odom, Emma Kate Maynor, Alie and Tori Howard. 

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 7 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor Travis Humbard officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.

Companion Funeral and Cremation Service has charge of the arrangements.
