American Legion Planning “Bug Fest 2024” Oct. 12

  • Thursday, September 19, 2024

The American Legion Post 100 in Dayton is hosting “Bug Fest 2024” on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Volkswagon Beetle acquired the nickname many years ago when the Beetle became a very popular small car known for its great gas mileage. Collectors of the early years Beetles have become very passionate about the car. Gatherings of the collectors, sometimes known as Bug Palooza’s have become popular events.

The American Legion Post 100 is asking folks to join this years’ event as a fundraiser for the Legion. The event will be held at the Rhea Elementary School at 1005 Delaware Ave.

Show organizers said that water cooled bugs are welcome as are the air cooled cars. Booths will also be set up to sell various car parts. There will be music, vendors and food trucks.

Entry fees for vendors and show vehicles will be $20. General admission for visitors is $5. For additional information please text 619-6811.
