Glenda Williams
Glenda Joan (Sivley) Williams, 73, of Ringgold, Georgia, died after a 12-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease and was ushered into the presence of Christ on July 12, 2016.
Mrs. Williams was born in Moulton, AL on June 16, 1943. The daughter of Mr. John Luther and Mamie (Bond) Sivley, Mrs. Williams graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1961. She raised her family in Decatur, Al., and later relocated to Chattanooga, to attend Tennessee Temple University. It was then that she began a 20+ year association with Baptist International Missions of Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Sivley, Jr., Waymon Sivley, Lowell Sivley, and Alice (Sivley) Bass.
She is survived by her three children, Mark (Veronica) Williams, of Maitland, Fl., Jason (Trudy) Williams, of Chattanooga, Rebekah (Jerry) McNair, of Ringgold; sisters, Willie Mae Richards, of Moulton, Al., Wanda (Fred) Bowen, of Decatur; grandchildren, Jacob, John, Jesse, Mark, Cameron, and Christopher (Catelyn).
“The chapter is closed but the book is still being written”
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home, with Reverend Allen Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, from 4-8 p.m. and until time of service on Saturday.
