Carol Ann Enck, 58, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 22, 2016 after a courageous 6 month battle with cancer.

Born March 2, 1958 in Hagerstown, MD, Carol spent her youth in Ann Arbor MI, later to become a Spartan at Michigan State in East Lansing, moved to Atlanta for 10 years, and then settled down in Dalton, GA for 25 years to raise a family.

Carol dedicated her career to being a Speech Therapist, working with children in the Dalton Public School system for over 16 years. Carol was an active mentor and big sister to children in the local community. She was a long time devoted Christian and Deacon of ChristChurch Presbyterian. She was a volunteer at Dalton schools and helped provide books for preschool students. Carol loved being a mother, spending time with her girlfriends, visiting the beach and lake, and dancing every chance she got.

Carol had an incredible following of admirers and friends due to her tremendous spirit, contagious joy, and kind heart. Carol was extremely generous, resilient, goofy, humble, and fell in love with anyone that would let her. Carol loved her children and her family with every ounce of her soul. She was a truly remarkable Woman.

Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Cook of Ann Arbor, MI.

Carol is survived by her husband of 34 years, Doug Enck; her 3 children Jaclyn, Jennifer, and Robert; brother Bill Cook and sister-in-law Cathie Cook, (CA); brother Dave Cook and sister-in-law Sally Cook, (MI); brother-in-law Phil Enck and sister-in-law Emily Enck, (IN); dog Sophie and cat Jellyfish.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carol Enck Memorial Scholarship fund, http://www.carolenckmemorialscholarship.com. The scholarship will be used to help further education for local kids in need. The link to donate will be available soon.

There will be a Memorial Service at Christchurch Presbyterian Saturday July 30 at 2 p.m.
