Joan Carlan Puckett, 84, of Ooltewah, died on Tuesday November 21, 2017, in a local hospital after a brief illness.

A resident of Hamilton County for the past 56 years, Mrs. Puckett was former president and co-owner of Title Escrow of Chattanooga for over 20 years.

Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Lue Carlan;  brothers, G.C. Carlan, Delmer Carlan, and sister, Jewel Ward.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob Puckett;  daughters, Cindy Puckett (Michael) Ford and Missy Puckett Archey both of Ooltewah;  sons,  Bobby and Ricky Puckett both of Chattanooga;  sister, Inez (Gil) Reimann, Atlanta;  five grandchildren, Nicky (Kristie) Puckett,  Max Archey, Jake Archey, Bailey Ford (Jay) Westfelt,  and Will Ford;  five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, or Shriners Hospital.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4-7 p.m. and Monday, after noon at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
