Hixson Pike Bridge Over SR-153 Lane Closure For Monday Night Announced

  • Monday, November 27, 2017

As part of the ongoing Hixson Pike bridge repair project over SR-153 in Hamilton County, the contractor will close one lane in each direction on the bridge Monday beginning at 10:00 p.m. and ending by 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

"This closure will allow the contractor to finish up some remaining work on the project and be able to complete the project in its entirety.  The project’s original completion date is May 15, 2018, but the contractor is currently ahead of schedule.  With tonight’s work, the contractor will be able to finish the project nearly six months early," officials said.

Work began on the project in February 2017.  The contractor for the $1.1 million bridge repair project is Mid-State Construction Co., Inc. of Livingston, Tn.
