Free School Supplies Available For Eastern Hamilton County Students In Need

  • Tuesday, June 17, 2025

The Samaritan Center announces the return of its annual "Stock Their Lockers" program which provides free school supplies to K-12 students across eastern Hamilton County. This program aims to ensure that local children in need are well-equipped and confident as they begin the upcoming school year.

The "Stock Their Lockers" program is designed to ease the financial burden on families by allowing students to pick their own essential supplies including backpacks, pencils, paper, crayons and more. The goal is to provide every child with the necessary tools for a successful school year.

Families residing in eastern Hamilton County whose students require school supplies are encouraged to apply for assistance. Applications for the "Stock Their Lockers" program are being accepted from now until Aug. 14. The process involves two main steps:

1. Confidential Financial Evaluation: Families will undergo a complete and confidential financial evaluation to determine eligibility for the program.

2. Personalized Supply Selection: Once eligibility is confirmed, families will be invited to bring their children to the Samaritan Center’s “Stock Their Lockers store." Here, students can personally select their own new school supplies, fostering excitement and readiness for school.

To learn more about the "Stock Their Lockers" program and to begin the application process, families are urged to call the Samaritan Center directly at (423) 238-7777.
