Hamilton Heights’ Hawks won their sixth game in seven outings this season.

That one loss was against Lincoln Academy in last week’s Hoopsgiving event in Atlanta.

On Tuesday, the Hawks avenged their only loss with a resounding 100-70 home-court victory at the school on Hickory Valley Road. Included in the 30-point win were 16 made 3-point shots.

Tre Edwards and Kevaughn Ellis each made three 3s.

Ironically, Tuesday's loss was the first in five games for Lincoln Academy.

Ellis led the Hawks with 19 points, Sam Rezhentsev tossed in 16, Wheza Panzo scored 13 and Jordan Rawls added 10.

Damion Baugh had a game-high 22 points for Lincoln Academy and Myron Jones finished with 16.

Hamilton Heights’ next game is Friday at 5 p.m. against national power Oak Hill Academy in the Marshall County (Ky.) Hoopfest. On Dec. 5, the Hawks will play the Baylor Red Raiders at Baylor. Game time is 7 p.m.
