Peggy Barger Thompson, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away December 1, 2017.

 

She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Chattanooga. Peggy was a teacher at Lakeside Elementary and Bachman School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Thompson; siblings, Pete Barger, Josephine McKenzie, Maurine Barger, Jack Barger, Dean Barger and Robert Barger.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Jim) Ballard; son, Jimmy (Sean) Thompson; grandchildren, Cam (Mebbie) Russe, Catherine (Taylor) Abrams, Caroline Russe, Clay Thompson and Patrick Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr # 22, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

 

A visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, from 1-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with a funeral service following afterward at 3 p.m.. A graveside service will be held privately by the family.
