Richard Wesley Barger, 54, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2017, at Erlanger Hospital.

Richard was born on Oct. 2, 1962, and grew up in Red Bank. He worked for his father, alongside his brother, at Barger AC Heating and Air for 15 years. He was a Christian man who practiced his faith within the comfort of a Baptist church. Richard “Ricky” Barger took flight Tuesday night, so he could fly safely to heaven and rest peacefully with his father, Walter B. Barger and mother, Mary L. Barger.

Richard survived by his loving brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Barger, his children, daughter, Crystal Brown and son-in-law, Brian Brown, daughter, Tiffany Hullander and son-in-law, Justin Hullander, and son, Steven Barger, and his grandchildren, Autumn Hogue, Blake Robertson, Emyle Brown, Hailey Brown, Hannah Brown, Caleb Hullander, Madison Hullander, Samantha Barger, and Keaton Barger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 22, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
