Mitchell Wilson
Mitchell “Dude” Wilson, 61, of Soddy Daisy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Mitchell was a very active member of the Daisy Church of God; he was on their security team and was part of their Wednesday Night Children’s Ministry.
He was a weekly volunteer at Ivy Academy leading their weekly wilderness hikes and he served on the board of directors.
Mitchell coached soccer at Middle Valley Recreation for 14 years. He and a friend, Chuck Jackson, partnered together and started Jackson-Wilson Insurance over twenty years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Wilson.
Mitch is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy Wilson; two daughters, Mandi (Scott) Teeters and Jennifer (Daryl) Crow; four grandchildren, Samantha Gardner, Aiden Teeters, Lucy Crow and Charlotte Crow; his mother Jean Wilson; a brother, Rex (Anita) Wilson and a sister, Paula (Barry) Martin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, at the Daisy Church of God with his lifelong friend, Senior Pastor Ken Duggan, Pastor Caleb Bolton and Pastor Grant Chauncey officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
