Sturdivant, Ester Lee Gilley

Ester Lee Gilley Sturdivant, 94, of Rossville, passed away at the home of her son in Ringgold on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was born on Feb. 9, 1924 in Booneville, Ms. Ester worked for Gordon Trucking Co. in Mississippi before moving to Rossville in 1955. She worked for Singer-Coble of Chattanooga before retiring from Tennessee Plywood as office manager after 25 years of service

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ora Mae Gilley; daughter, Patricia Pickard; four sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Elizabeth Sturdivant; son-in-law, Tom Pickard; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, with Rev. David Pickard officiating. The family will receive n Tuesday from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
