Javoris Akins, 22, Shot Monday Afternoon On 4th Avenue

Chattanooga Police said 22-year-old Javoris Akins was shot on Monday afternoon on 4th Avenue.

At approximately 2:36 p.m. police were called to a local hospital concerning a person who was being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
 
The victim advised that he was transported to the hospital via a personally owned vehicle.
 
Police spoke to the victim and responded to the 3500 block of 4th Avenue to locate a crime scene.
 
Members of the violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident. If you have any information regarding this incident please contact police immediately.
