James Thomas Burdin has been charged in an incident on Saturday in Cleveland, Tn., where two people were stabbled.

Burdin, 22, of 132 Cross St., Cleveland, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Deputies responded to a call at approximately 11:53 p.m. at 931 Bell Road SE, which was reporting two victims had been stabbed. Upon arrival, the deputies found the two victims and affirmed they had stab wounds. Both were treated at the scene and transported by Bradley County EMS.

Deputies encountered two females walking near the Bell Road address and one of them told deputies the person they were looking for was her son. She said family members had held the son down in the back yard of their house at 132 Cross St. SE.

She said he was being held down "because he was freaking, acting crazy and making threats to harm himself."

Burdin was transported to the Bradley County Jail without incident where he was booked on the two counts. He is currently being held without bond.

Information about the two victims is not being released at this time.
