Karen Elizabeth Sherfey, 67, of Riverview, Florida, and Lakesite, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

She was born in Elizabethton, Tn., to the late Charles and Mary Sue (Keller) Sherfey.

Karen is survived by Jim Bilyeu, daughter Annette Bilyeu (Louis Kotopka), grandchildren, Cayce, Isabella, and Sophia. She is also survived by her brother, Steven Keller (Sharman) Sherfey, of Chattanooga, and sister, Cheryl Sherfey Simmons, of Chattanooga.

Karen was beloved by her nieces and nephews. She worked in the nuclear power industry for many years.  She went to elementary school in Scottsboro, Al., high school in Greenville, Ky., (class of 1968) and college at the University of Kentucky at Lexington (class of 1972).  It’s the little things that make life a big adventure. 

The Karen Sherfey family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

A funeral service for Karen will follow at 3 p.m. with Calvary Chapel Pastor Darren Delaney officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
