Boozer, Ruth Taylor

Ruth Taylor Boozer, 94, of Chattanooga, transitioned on November 21, 2019, quietly in her sleep at home.

She was born June 5, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Annie and Cicero Taylor.  Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Howard High School.  She was a faithful member of the Worlds Church Of The Living God, with the late Bishop WC Hunter and now Pastor Allan Harrington as her pastor.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Boozer; parents, Cicero and Annie Taylor; brother, Alfred Taylor and son, Cornelius A. Woods.  

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Victoria Carr Dean; three grandchildren, William (Tyra) Dean Jr., Vincent (Tomika) Dean both of Chattanooga, Oni Woods of Nashville, TN; son-in-law, William (Sharon) Dean Sr. of Chattanooga, TN; daughter-in-law, Velma Woods of Nashville, TN. Ruth also leaves to cherish her memory, two great granddaughters, Lauryn Taylor Dean and Lillian Arion Dean, both of Chattanooga, TN; two nieces, Alice (James) Keith and Marion Taylor; two nephews, William (Dehavilland) Rivers and Alfred (Sharon) Taylor; cousin, James Wade, Jr. of Bridgeport, AL. Devoted longtime friend, Mrs. Jesse Wooten; friends, Mrs. Delores Carter and Mrs. Valorie Gray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
