Patten Parkway Business Is 1st To Receive $1,000 Construction Mitigation Grant

A Patten Parkway business is the first to receive a $1,000 construction mitigation grant out of a $20,000 pot established earlier by the City Council.

Jermaine Freeman, of city Economic Development, said Blue Ivy Flowers and Gifts was the first to fill out all the paperwork.

He said all sidewalks are open at Patten Parkway, but the remainder of the block-long park between Georgia Avenue and Lindsay Street is under construciton.

Mr. Freeman said the work is in phase 1 of four phases and is due to continue through next August.
