Fox, Helen Joyce (Cleveland)

Helen Joyce Fox, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

A few of Joyce’s favorite hobbies were cooking, singing, and gardening. She loved her family greatly, especially her grandkids. She was a faithful servant at Temple Baptist Church where she spent time cooking and ministering to others. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lucy Malinda Roderick; siblings, Wayne Franklin Roderick, Mary Ann Roderick, and James William Roderick. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 59 years, Paul Edward Fox Sr; children, Joy (Jim) Giles, Edward Fox Jr, Rachel (Jeff) Thompson, and special daughter-in-law Mona Hunt; grandchildren, Kody (Kristy) Fox, Cory (Courtney) Fox, Ryan Allen Schwartz, Sarah (Matt) Turner, Talya, Chi, Emery, and Kinley Thompson; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Lana, and Clara; siblings, J.C. Roderick, Hattie Mae Massengill, Melba Ruth Anderson, and Shelba Jean Cole; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 3072 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.

The celebration of life service will be held at the church on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. with a short one hour viewing prior to the service. Interment will take place at Earls Cemetery in White Oak.
