Wendell Lodon Wheeler, 75, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Joseph Vander and Marie Lavada Coots Wheeler in Chattanooga, was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was of the Baptist Faith. Wendell was the owner/operator of Wendell’s Trim Shop for more than 50 yrs., and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Wheeler, Jr. and Donald Ray Wheeler.
Wendell is survived by his loving wife, Billie D. Wheeler; children, Kim Perkins, Tony Wheeler, Cheryl Jones, Ray Lankford and Ernie Lankford; siblings, Linda Gilbert, Deloris Williams, Bobby Wheeler, Gene Wheeler and Lamon Wheeler; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 in the chapel, with Bro. Larry Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
