McCallie In Split With Father Ryan; Must Win Friday To Go To State

McCallie took at 10-2 opening win over Father Ryan in Nashville on Wednesday afternoon before dropping the second game 6-2.

The two teams meet again in Nashville on Friday afternoon with the winner advancing to the state's Final 4 and the loser closing out their season.

Freshman pitcher William Baker led McCallie in the opener.

In the second game, Daulton Payne crossed the plate to give McCallie a 1-0 lead, but Father Ryan quickly tied it and then went ahead in the fourth with two runs on two hits and an error. Two more runs in the fifth made if 5-1. Both teams scored a run in the seventh for the 6-2 finish.
