Daniel Facing Charges After Choking Woman, Hitting Her With Car In Front Of Her Family Members

A Chattanooga man is facing charges, including attempted first-degree murder, after police said he choked a woman and struck her with his car in front of her family members.

Kenneth Michael Daniel, 42, is also charged with aggravated assault.

In the incident on Thursday afternoon on Bramlett Road, the woman was outside when Daniel drove up and asked her to come over to his car.

When she did, he began choking her.

Family members said he then told them, "Watch this s---" and drove toward the woman, injuring her left.

A family member called out for help and dialed 911. Daniel then drove off, but police later apprehended him

Police said she also had choke marks on her neck.

Daniel previously knew the woman. 

Daniel and his silver Oldsmobile were located at a separate location on Bramlett Road.

His bond was set at $35,000.
