Councilman Ron Elliott, in coordination with the Hamilton County Mayor’s Office, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), and the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security, said he is conducting a comprehensive assessment of damages resulting from the severe weather and flash flooding on Tuesday.
This assessment applies to all properties within the limits of the city of Chattanooga, including residential homes, commercial properties, businesses, and other structures that experienced water intrusion into primary living or working spaces or sustained storm-related damage.
Councilman Elliott, who represents District 9, said he is working closely with county officials and emergency management teams to assess the situation and identify opportunities for aid and recovery support for affected residents.
“Our community’s resilience is strong, but we will work tirelessly to ensure help is available to those who need it most,” he said.
