Annette Mathis
Annette Brown Mathis, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in a local hospital.
She was a 1970 graduate of Riverside High School. Annette was a member of Silver Crest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mable Brown, Jr.; brothers, Cardean Brown and George Brown; sister, Gwendolyn Harris; and grandson, Jevon Sturdivant.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James Mathis; daughter, DeSharla (Anthony) Rowland of Harrison, TN; son, Kevin Mathis of Dalton, GA; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Brown, III of Chattanooga; sister, Vera Brown of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Randy Petersen as the eulogist.
Burial will be on Monday, July 1, at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
