Canadian crooner Michael Bublé brought his tour to town on Friday night, filling Bridgestone Arena for a surprisingly intimate performance given the fact 15,000 fans were in attendance. Backed by an orchestra of local musicians, Bublé performed a 21-song set, plus a special song with an audience member.

Opening the show with his signature cover of “Feeling Good,” Bublé showed off the voice the audience all came to hear.
But after the first couple songs, he launched into a humorous monologue giving fans insight into another side of his show that’s filled with jokes and cheeky comments. He touched on the popular bachelorette parties and pedal taverns Nashville’s now known for.

But he doesn’t just have jokes either – he also showed a deeply sentimental side with songs like “Forever Now,” written for his kids, which brought tears not only to Bublé, but to many in older crowd. He then dedicated his hit “Home” as a touching tribute to all of those serving in the military.

Known for giving a random fan a chance to sing a song with him, Bublé picked a 10-year old boy in Nashville to pick a song to sing for everyone. He chose “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which the crowd loved.

Bublé’s stage featured a long catwalk into the middle of the arena’s floor, where he hosted the last five songs of his regular set, giving fans in the back a closer look and turning the setting into a nightclub feel with lanterns dropping from the ceiling and a few band members in the middle with him.

“An Evening With Michael Bublé” is his first tour in four years, in support of his latest album Love. Bublé previously was set to tour in 2017 but canceled to focus all his time on his family after his young son was diagnosed with cancer. The current tour continues internationally into early next year.
