Baylor, CCS Play To 1-1 Tie

  • Monday, April 28, 2025

The Baylor boys traveled to CCS in both teams last regular season region soccer matches. CCS playing their first match since the resignation of head coach Tyler Robertson.

The undefeated Chargers would score first when Bryson Haga scored off a free kick in the 28th minute.  The game remained 1-0 at the half.

Baylor tied the game at one in the 53rd minute when Heath Techasiriwan scored off a Phin Ellison pass. Neither team would find the game winner and the game tied 1-1.

"I thought we defended the set pieces very well tonight," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said. "We know CCS has scored a ton of goals from their set pieces and they are all dangerous. I thought our back four and Carter Weekley played really well."

With the tie, CCS locks up the #1 seed (has a bye to the region finals) and Knoxville Webb is the #5 seed. McCallie and Catholic play on Tuesday and they will determine #2 through #4.
