Baylor Soccer Wins 4-1 At McMinn County

The Baylor girls soccer team beat McMinn County 4-1 on Monday after leading 1-0 at the half. 

Aliya Cooper, Claire Holtzclaw, Melissa Oliveira and Justice McLaughlin scored for Baylor.  Gracie Sprurling had an assist along with Oliveira. 

McMinn County's Allison Hansford scored their lone goal in the 84th minute. 

Baylor out shot McMinn County 9-3.  Addison Yelton and Campbell Green combined for two saves for Baylor in the goal.   McMinn County's Jaliyan Miller had eight saves.

"I thought we started the game well against a very well coached McMinn County team," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said after the game.   "We know they have some great players and have scored numerous goals this year.

It is nice to get a win on the road."

Baylor improves to 3-3-2 on the season and McMinn County is now 6-2.
