Walmart Produce Employee Dies From Injuries Suffered In Shooting Outside Brainerd Store

A Walmart produce employee has died after being shot outside the Brainerd Walmart.

The victim was Alfred Williams, 61.

A 23-year-old was also shot, but the injury was not life-threatening.

The shooting happened last Tuesday just before 1 p.m.

Walmart employees said Mr. Williams was outside on a break when there was violence at a nearby store that escalated. 

Employees said the popular Walmart associate shielded another person when the shooting began.

They said he was shot in the arm, leg and stomach and never regained consciousness.
