At the morning hour, the Lord took the hand of Archie T. Kirk, Jr., 74, to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. 

Archie had been a lifelong resident of Jasper, TN.   He was married to Glenda Berry Kirk for the past beautiful 43 years.    Archie was born on September 5, 1946 to Arch T. Kirk, Sr. and Edith Cash Kirk.

Archie served in the United States Army as an Army Specialist.  Archie’s career was being a loyal truck driver with Distribution Tech.   He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Jasper, TN.  Archie loved his Lord along with being a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.   In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his farm and tending to his farm animals.   Archie was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch T. Kirk, Sr. and Edith Cash Kirk; sisters, Billie Sue Kirk (infant) and Wilma Fay Kirk Duggan; paternal grandparents, Thomas Jefferson Kirk and Margaret Ellen Austin Kirk and maternal grandparents, Esley R. Cash Myrtle Elizabeth Burton Cash.

Archie leaves his fondest memories with his wife, Glenda Kirk; sons, Jeff (Lisa) Kirk and Jason (Crystal) Kirk; daughters, Lynn (Brian) Dietz and Tammie Bailey; brother, Kenneth Kirk’ sister, Sharon (Bobby) Barnes; grandchildren, Whitney Morgan, Megan O’Mary, Sean Kirk, Evan Kirk, Kasey Kirk, Kirk Bailey and Jordan Bailey; great-grandchildren, Landon Morgan, Noah Morgan, Ridge O’Mary, Ryder O’Mary, Rhett O’Mary and Dexter Kirk along with several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

There will be a graveside service along on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm CT at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN with Pastor Ricky Gravely officiating along with military honors ceremony conducted by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
