Billie Jean Bennett, 90, of Cleveland, passed away on November 17, 2020. She was born on Aug. 31, 1930 to the late Thomas Brent Williams and Alice Pearl Gann Williams. Jean was a tremendous woman of God who always had God first, family and then friends. She was married to James L. Bennett, one of the founding members of Waterville Baptist Church, for 68 years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband of 68 years, James Bennett; niece, Alice Joe Gann; and uncles, “Red” Gann and Thomas Brent Williams, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Dennis Bennett and James Bennett, Jr.; granddaughter, Misty Bennett; and great-granddaughter, London Bennett.
Jean will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery with her husband James.
