After a week of heavy rain and Thursday's temperatures in the mid-60s, dawn broke on Lookout Mountain on Friday morning with a blanket of snow that was enough to cover the ground and the cars in the driveway.

The roads are still warm enough to not be affected by the snow, which is not enough to be measurable but an obvious answer that February is far from predictable.

At 6 a.m. the temperature was an unofficial 33 degrees.

The high for today is 35 degrees, with more rain (or snow) predicted on Saturday with a 45-degree high.
