United Community Mortgage Services Welcomes Blake McPherson

United Community Mortgage Services has added Blake McPherson as a mortgage loan originator to its Cleveland team.

“Blake has close ties to the Cleveland community and is invested in watching it grow and succeed,” said Mike Davies, president of United Community Mortgage Services. “His knowledge of banking and passion for finding the best solutions possible for his clients make him a valuable addition to our team.”

Mr. McPherson holds more than two decades of experience in the financial industry. His background includes commercial and residential insurance adjusting, litigation management and mortgage lending. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University.

“I was drawn to mortgage lending by my passion for helping clients who are seeking to purchase or refinance their homes,” said Mr. McPherson. “As a United Community Bank customer myself, I have firsthand experience with the service delivered by this team. We truly believe in in helping our clients achieve their dreams.”

Involved in his community, Mr. McPherson serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce. In conjunction with this role, he has also served as vice chair of the Tourism Committee for five consecutive years. Other organizations in which he is involved with include the Ocoee River Basin Foundation, the Ocoee River Outfitters Association and the Chattanooga Pipe Band.

Mr. McPherson was born and raised in Cleveland. He and his wife Alesha have one son, Finn, and a dog, Jackson. In addition to his banking career, Mr. McPherson is a professional musician, percussionist and snare drummer with a competition bagpipe corporation.
