Because of the uncertainty of how exactly this global health crises will play out, an alternative date has not been announced. Watch for another email announcement in the coming weeks.

Review for Give Me Room!

Give Me Room! is a Musical that explores the battle for women’s suffrage that leads up to the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920.

Focusing on the lives of four composite women, the musical delves into the personal lives and reactions of women who were on both sides of this historic event. Utilizing research of specific women who fought for suffrage in Chattanooga and Tennessee, this musical is inspired by telegrams, letters, historical records and newspaper articles in this exploration of the moments of decision and the events that spurred on the need for women to have a voice. An experimental artistic approach blends the music of today, protest anthems of the 1960’s, and the Jazz and Classical styles of one hundred years ago as we reflect on the meaning of the right of all people to have a voice in the political system.
