Frances “Tootie” Holsomback
Frances “Tootie” Holsomback, 86 of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at NHC in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
She was born on May 2, 1933, in Chattanooga, to the late Zack and Maude Franklin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Holsomback, daughter Judi Hamill, grandson-in-law Jason Didicher, five sisters and two brothers.
Tootie attended Bess T. Shepard Elementary and Tyner High School. She was a homemaker for many years and her last job was at Walmart in the craft department before retiring.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis (Mike) Horten, five grandchildren- Angela Didicher, Jeff (Allyson) Cornell, Dewayne (Elyse) Hamill, Marcie Sink, Chris (Katie) Horten, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current healthcare crisis a private family graveside service will be held at Graysville Historic Cemetery. An announcement for a Celebration of Life will be sent at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Graysville Historic Township Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 3, Graysville, Ga. 30726.
