Cempa Community Care will offer free COVID-19 testing at La Paz Chattanooga, 1402 Bailey Ave., on Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
"At Cempa, one of our primary aims is to ensure all Chattanoogans, no matter who they are, where they live or how much money they make, have access to the best quality healthcare possible," said Shannon Stephenson, CEO at Cempa Community Care. "That's why we're incredibly happy to partner with La Paz Chattanooga on multiple projects, including this week's COVID-19 testing event.
Their work to make certain that Chattanooga's fastest-growing demographic is an engaged and fully incorporated part of our city is imperative, and it aligns perfectly with our mission at Cempa. We're proud to call them a partner, working alongside them, Clínica Médicos, Alleo Health System, LifeSpring Community Health, and Hamilton County Health Department for this event."
Testing is available to the general public without a physician referral, and those who come for testing can remain in their vehicles throughout the process of collection. Testing will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost. If a patient has insurance, testing site workers will document that information and bill for the services rendered. Spanish translators will be on site.
Partner organizations for the event are, Cempa Community Care, Clínica Médicos, LifeSpring Community Health, Alleo Health System, La Paz Chattanooga and Hamilton County Health Department.
