David Francis Served The City Well For 20 Years As Court Officer

  • Wednesday, July 15, 2020

Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse in 2020 I lost my great friend and Court Officer David (Chy) Francis. He had leukemia plus a heart condition and the combination was just too much.

David and I were longtime college friends. When I became Judge I employed him because I knew he had the intelligence and the organizational skills to fulfill the role of Court Officer. That he did. He was great. He served the city of Chattanooga well for 20 years.

David was a devout Christian and exercised his faith by being the choir director at the South Pittsburgh Church of Christ.

We in City Court are grieving right now as David joins his Family in Paradise and we ask for your prayers.
