Hiker Finds Body Of Missing Signal Mountain Man David Hunter

A body found in a wooded area of Signal Mountain on Wednesday has been identified as David Hunter, 27, who was reported missing by his family June 22, Signal Mountain Police Chief Mike Williams said.

He was found by a hiker and reported to police who, along with the Signal Mountain Fire Department, recovered the body.

The family was notified Wednesday.

An autopsy will be performed by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s office to determine cause of death.
