Karen Lee Whaley, 57, of Georgetown, passed away on June 30, 2020. She was born on July 15, 1962 in Cleveland. Karen was a lifelong resident of this area. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, riding through the mountains and playing the lottery. Above all things, Karen was a tremendous family woman and loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Toby Whaley; son, James Edward Ratcliff; and sister, Kathy Whaley.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Dorothy Whaley; son, Clint Ratcliff; sisters, Pam Whaley and Teresa Whaley; significant other, Nooney Cofer; grandchildren, Kaylee Ratcliff, Dylan Liner, Tyler Cathey, Karlee Ratcliff, Daven Keith and Juanita Keith; and great-grandchildren, Serenity, Oakland and Mavis.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Friday July 3 at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
