It is with heavy hearts and great love that the family of Samuel Levi “Lee” Woolwine make known his passing. Lee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept 25, 2020.

Lee, as he was widely known, graduated high school from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. Some of his favorite pastimes were spent fishing with his sons and going to the gym. He was a huge “Big Orange” fan and rooted on his “Vols” every chance he could. He was most recently employed with Novalis Flooring where he worked as an extrusion operator.

Lee was a light and a beautiful display of God’s love and grace.  He had a compassionate heart and he loved deeply and demonstratively. His place on this earth was of great worth and value to his family and friends.

Lee was predeceased by his mother Leta E. Woolwine, brother Philip Woolwine and sister Cara Woolwine

Lee will be dearly missed by his wife, Andrea Woolwine; sons, Gabe Woolwine, 20, and Asher Woolwine, 3; father, Sam H. (Donna) Woolwine; sister, Natalie (Jeff) Woodard; nephews and nieces, Nick Sloan, Sloane (Cam) Mulligan, Abby Woodard, Landon Keown, Skylar Woolwine, Shelby Woolwine and Blake Debity.

A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. with Joe Smith and Pastor Troy Walliser officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.

We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.

If you are not comfortable attending the service you may join us live for the service at https://www.facebook.com/chattanoogaeastchapel.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a fund set up to provide for funeral expenses and the needs of Lee’s sons. https://www.gofundme.com/f/lee-woolwine-memorial-fund?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
