Council, Leave The Court Alone

  • Monday, October 4, 2021

To our Chattanooga City Council.

If you take it away it will be hard to ever bring back. City Court, Division II that is.

My bet is that most, maybe none of you, have ever spent a full day observing that court. There's way more going on there than you will see on your spreadsheets. Look at the case count from '19 and realize that this is just a pandemic dip.

Before you run again we will get ramped up with more officers and there will be an increase in cases and there will be a need to revive a second division and it will become a political battle.

You can avoid the scrum by thanking Judge Bean for his service and allowing us to vote for a new Division II City Court judge.
