Jimmy Russell Mingie, 51, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday October 29, 2021. He was born on April 9, 1970. Jimmy was the life of the party; always with a smile. He loved his family and friends. Though he endured many obstacles throughout his life, he never let them slow him down. He loved wrestling and also attending church. He was a part of the Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Mingie; sister, Roxie Conner; stepfather, Winston Williams; grandparents, James and Ruby Mingie, John Anderson and Ruth Vines; step-brother, Carol Williams; and special friend, Howard Arp.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Brenda Williams; brother, Eugene Mingie (Beverly); nephew, Nathaniel Conner; step-sisters, Carol Collins, Mary Landsdowne and Connie Melton; step-brother, Mitchell Williams; one great-nephew; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jimmy’s family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Companion Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
