Hamilton County Has 1 New COVID Death, 77 New Cases; Tennessee Has 962 New Cases, 17 More COVID Deaths

Hamilton County reported 77 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 61 patients hospitalized and 20 in Intensive Care Units. Eight others were in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 37 are county residents.

The new total of cases in Hamilton County is 39,504.

There was one death from the virus in the county reported since Monday, a black female over the age of 81, bringing the total to 435.  

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 37,938, which is 96 percent, and there are 1,208 active cases. 
 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 759,523 on Tuesday with 962 new cases. There have been 17 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 10,954, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 1,106 people hospitalized from the virus, 11 more than Monday.

Testing numbers are above 6.626 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 726,910, 96 percent.

Bradley County:  12,454 cases, up 58; 132 deaths, up 1

Grundy County: 1,627 cases, up 16; 27 deaths

Marion County: 2,854 cases, up 20; 43 deaths, down 1

Meigs County: 1,239 cases, down 1; 20 deaths

Polk County: 1,685 cases, up 9; 21 deaths

Rhea County: 4,072 cases, up 6; 68 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,510 cases, up 8; 26 deaths

Knox County: 44,340 cases, up 172; 552 deaths, up 2

Davidson County: 79,851 cases, up 309; 814 deaths, up 3

Shelby County: 85,775 cases, up 301; 1,433 deaths, up 1
