Baylor Soccer Wins 3-1 Over Knox Catholic

The Baylor boys soccer team hosted Knox Catholic in a region match on Tuesday.   Baylor scored two goals in the second half to earn a 3-1 win. 

Baylor's Gui Gragnano opened the scoring early off an Ethan Nunes pass in the fourth minute.

Knox Catholic's Quinn Brennan scored off a shot from 18yards out. to even up the score. 

At the 51st minute, Baylor's Gui Gragnano scored off another Ethan Nunes cross to give the Red Raiders a 2-1 lead.

At the 59th minute, Riley Shankle scored off a cross from Anthony Weekley to secure the 3-1 win.

"Our region is very tough, but we started off the game very well and created chances but couldn’t finish," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "Knox Catholic coach Gordon Hines does a great job of having his players organized and they are tough to break down.
This was a huge win and it was also our first home game this year so it was special to win a region match in front of our fans."

 Baylor out shot Knox Catholic 11-5.

Zach Ubamadu had two saves for Baylor and Chris Grill had five saves for Knox Catholic.
