Jack I. Reiss, 81, founder and director of Baptist World Missionary Outreach Ministries, Inc. went home to glory on Monday, May 24, 2021.

 

He was born and reared in a Jewish home in Memphis, Tn.

 

White attending synagogue in Memphis, he was hitchhiking and picked up by a Christian lady.   He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and served the Lord unashamedly.

 

Dr. Reiss traveled the world ministering the Gospel of Jesus. He never met a stranger and when he walked into a room his infectious smile and vibrant personality filled it.

 

Dr. Reiss graduated from Christian Brothers High School, went to Memphis State, and Tennessee Temple University and served in the United States Army.

 

The Lord used Jack to begin the Baptist World Missionary Outreach Ministries in 1976 and along with his wife, traveled the country to different churches presenting their ministry and the mission.

 

Dr. Reiss is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Sandra R. Reiss;   daughter, Rebecca; and three grandchildren, Maris, Elijah, and Azlyn. He will be missed by his many friends and co-laborers across the country who were privileged to meet and know him.

 

A Celebration of Life Service for Dr. Reiss will be held on Saturday, June 12, at Anchor of Hope Baptist Church, 2613 Lakeview Drive, Rossville, Ga. 30741.

 

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, at Anchor of Hope Baptist Church.
