Thanks to a grant from the Chattanooga Tourism Company and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Fun on the 4th will be a new community celebration this year produced by Chattanooga Presents in Miller Park and Miller Plaza.
This free July 4th celebration will be held Sunday, July 4, from 5-10 p.m. It will feature live music on two stages, art vendors, a vintage market, vintage cars, food trucks, and will be capped off by a brief laser show.
The music schedule includes the summertime sounds of four local bands and a Beach Boys tribute band for this July 4th event:
5-5:45 p.m. Soldiers of the Most High (Miller Park) - A funky metal soul fusion act led by Freddy Mac, formerly of local band FBI
5:45-6:30 p.m. Neshawn Bynum (Miller Plaza) - A local vocalist and accomplished backup band known for their performances in R&B, soul, gospel, and jazz music
6:30-7:30 p.m. Dalton and the Boys (Miller Park)- A local outlaw country band, self proclaimed as “Bad Boy Gospel”
7:30 -8:30 p.m. Love Peace & Happiness (Miller Plaza) – One of Chattanooga’s most beloved party bands whose repertoire includes Soul, R&B, and Standard favorites
8:30-9:45 p.m. Sail On, A Beach Boys Tribute Band (Miller Park) – At over 80 shows a year, this band is one of the most booked Beach Boys tribute bands around, bringing the authentic sounds of carefree classics like “Surfin Safari,” “I Get Around,” “Surfin Safari,” “California Girls,” “Little Deuce Coupe” and many more.
9:50-10 p.m. Laser Show in Miller Park
