Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga. continued Friday night to prove his dominance as the one of the two hottest racers in America, by winning the 30 lap $6,000 preliminary feature to Saturday's "Firecracker 100" in Pennsylvania at Lernerville Speedway.
Overton is coming off his best month ever, after winning an estimated $273,000 in back to back "Dream 100" races at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Ohio.
Saturday's finale at Lernerville pays $30,000 to the race's winner of the World of Outlaw Late Model series sanctioned event. Chickamauga's Dale McDowell and Tennessean Scott Bloomquist are also in competition.

Friday night at Boyd's Speedway it was Andy Pickelsimer of Ooltewah earning his career first victory at the Tennessee/Georgia state-line track. Cleveland's John Ownbey was third with Ooltewah's Ryan Tims fifth.
Knoxville's Eli Beets was victorious in the Crate Late Model feature. Ringgold's Sawyer Tinker was the winner of the Sportsman feature.
Racing takes place Saturday at all the normal Tennessee Valley area tracks including Mountain View Raceway in Dayton/Spring City, I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater and Fort Payne (AL) Motor Speedway.
